Obstetrics
Due to our commitment to services for women, we have built a strong reputation as a quality obstetrics service. We’re proud that generations of mothers have trusted GPHA to guide them through pregnancy to the post-partum period and beyond. GPHA’s obstetrics service provides vigilant oversight for each pregnant woman in order to identify and manage problems as early as possible. Services include a schedule of checkups, screening for genetic problems, anemia, infections and other potentially harmful issues, referral for dental care and nutrition evaluation, medical case management in order to address non-medical issues that may impact pregnancy, and nursing support for assessment and education. Laboratory tests are performed on-site for patient convenience.
Gynecology
Gynecology services encompass routine annual checkups as well as diagnosis and management of acute and chronic problems of the reproductive system. Screening for infection, cervical (pap) and breast cancer (mammogram), high blood pressure, and diabetes are routinely provided. Ongoing care for women with chronic gynecologic disorders such as endometriosis and fibroids is provided on-site.
On-site diagnostic procedures such as colposcopy for abnormal pap smear evaluation and endometrial biopsy afford our patients both convenience and continuity of care. Our Gynecologists also perform hospital-based surgical procedures and inpatient care so that a woman’s care always has a personal touch.
- Diagnosis and treatment of sexually transmitted infections is provided by appointment and as a same-day service.
