We offer daycare and youth services for children and families in Southwest Philadelphia and beyond through our Woodland Academy Child Development Center (Woodland Academy).

Woodland Academy opened in 1990 with a goal to provide services that are enriching and stimulating in a safe environment for children ages six weeks to 14 years.

The staff at Woodland Academy is dedicated and committed to giving your child culturally sensitive and academically appropriate experiences as they mature and develop from children into young men and women. Much of our staff has been with Woodland Academy since it’s beginning, creating a close, family-oriented atmosphere that is critical in childcare.

In July 2004, our pre-school classrooms became part of the School District of Philadelphia’s Head Start Program. Our pre-schoolers also participate in the Raising the Readers Program, funded by the Knight Foundation. The center has also been selected to participate in the state-run quality initiative, Keystone Stars, and has been chosen for the United Way’s “Early to Learn: Partners for School Readiness” program. As a part of this program, Woodland Academy staff receives coaching from early childhood education experts, only adding to the quality of service they provide.

We offer childcare services only at our Woodland Academy site.
